The citizens of Hazlehurst are looking forward to the opening of a new Super Wal-Mart in early 2008. This will be a much needed boom to the economy.

The Hazlehurst Industrial Park is starting to take shape with two new Industries to locate there in 2007.

The Heritage House in Hazlehurst is really beautiful, if you have not seen it, it's worth the trip to tour this great house.

The Hazlehurst Chamber of Commerce located in the old train depot, has been refurbished and now houses an Illinois Central Train Museum along with the Robert Johnson Museum. This too is worth a trip to tour.

A large covered amphitheater complete with tables and benches is located adjacent to the depot.
